1) Black
'Black' kicks off at a notably slower pace, but consists of really big, hoofing beats and razor sharp, rasping percussion. The slow proggy build begins by bringing in decent waves of bass, some pleasing sfx and eventually a floaty synth riff which does a good job of lifting the track and levels it out nicely. The key feature of this track, I think, is held within the breakdown. The ambience and pulsing sfx sort of reduces to a gut churning bass of immense depth which rumbles and boils menacingly in the background. Shrill vocals and tense synths come in to make this really dark and atmospheric for a short moment, until progression is resumed and the beats kick back in. There is a renewed sense of drive though which helps pick up the mood and the final touch is brought in by waves of surging, moody synth. A prog monster that makes you think.
2) White
'White' feels a little faster and also a bit more 'open', if you like. A dainty synth plays out some echoed notes into what seems like a vast space and you'd be forgiven for thinking that was it for the rest of the track. It's not, however. After the breakdown, the track changes. A lot. A higher energy synth riff comes into play as do a periodic set of stabbed rhythmic synth chords. The result is quite a dreamy sea of sound. Still heavily progressive, but somthing you can let yourself sink into.
Conclusion:
Two very interesting pieces of heavy progressive trance here. Take a look and give it a chance before you pass judgement, you may be surprised.
