The original has a nice drive & bassline, good to hear Corydalics after a while, too. Sounds promising, packing this in for possible gig plays.

Great stuff here, my favourite is the Corydalics remix as it's very driving and melodic. I also like the original, especially its break.
DJ Vierro
Very nice drive on the track..liked the break!!..already playlisted for my forthcoming"elements" show..!

Like the Original Mix. Production sounds good but little bit too generic for me. Will give this a spinn or two anyway...
Paul Wrigley
Get's my support for sure! Loving the sounds..

I love the guitar parts of Corydalics Remix, this is without doubt my favorite remix. It brings a chilled summer feeling, together with a nice, proggy melodic build.

Very nice vibe in the Corydalics remix!!! Full Support!!!
Dimitri Kechagias
Superb uplifting trancer at its very best with original being powerful and hands in the air and the remixes being more progressive trance, deep, electro tech and playful. This will be radio supported and charted in my shows.
Also supported by: Manuel Le Saux, Sebastian Brandt, James Hannan, DJ Joop, Zak Quiney...
Corydalics remix on kyl helvetin nätti! < 3
MusiCritics review
Lush and angelic, listen for the twists! - 7/10
Ive been playing catch up lately and Ive been ignoring this label for far too long. Finity Global is a subprint of the fine Finnish Finity Recordings label, and though they dont come around very often, they do so in style.
This 3 track release was tossed into the wild way back in June and Im just now getting around to reviewing it. I know, I know
but better late than never, right? Astera, UK born producer, delivers a spacey melodic trancer and Corydalics and Air-T provide some support on remix duties.
Read on past the break to find out how I felt about each mix, some high quality samples and for your chance to vote for your favorite!
Astera - Ascent (Original Mix)
Im instantly reminded of an older Ferry Corsten sound, back in the days when he peddled the hands-in-the-air-feel-good-trance. This, is a very good thing. The track carries on with a vibrant atmosphere, layering celestial pads and crisp hats on top of a well crafted bassline. The breakdown isnt awe inspiring, but it ensures energy levels remain mostly constant, something that allows the last half of the track to flow smoothly and keep the listener focused.
Astera - Ascent (Corydalics Remix)
Taking the original, Corydalics (aka Ville), has crafted a deeper groovier version that seems to be more inline with the progressive trance were hearing coming from the Finnish production camp. Chained melodies seem to dance playfully with a deep synth sequence, giving this deep tune a much lighter atmosphere. Theres even a bit of tech in this track, its fully evident in the outro of the track, setting this little gem up perfectly as a bridge to something darker.
Astera - Ascent (AIR-T Remix)
As Ville did previously, Air-T takes to the next level. This version is an even more complex hybrid, incorporating a smooth progressive vibe with a tweaked out trance core thats been graciously dipped in techno to create a crisp and refreshing sound.
The Verdict
This is a well crafted and well thought out melodic trancer that should cater to just about any trance fan. There isnt anything too cutting edge, but what you get instead is something classy that you could certainly take out with you
maybe introduce it to your parents? As for my favorite, its a rather difficult decision considering each version is top quality. Ill have to choose the Original Mix though
